July 29 – National Lasagna Day

It’s National Lasagna Day!

Italian food is one of my favorite foods.

There is something to be said for “delicious layers of pasta smothered in a zesty sauce, packed with a few of your favorite ingredients and topped with melted, ooey gooey cheese”. [1]

While the origins of this holiday are unknown, National Lasagna Day is an annual food holiday celebrated each year on July 29.

Lasagna is made with long wide flat pasta noodles layered with a variety of fillings and cheeses and with a zesty tomato sauce.

National Lasagna Day is an annual food holiday that celebrates lasagna of all varieties.
