What better way to celebrate this holiday than filling up on these sweet, spiced buns made with currants or raisins and leavened with yeast.

They are a staple at Easter; these baked goodies are marked with a cross on the top, which is supposed to symbolize the crucifixion. Hot cross buns are traditionally eaten on Good Friday.
