October 4 – National Taco Day

It’s National Taco Day! YUMMY!!!!

A taco is one of those great traditional dishes that came from Mexico. I love tacos so much that I make them at least twice a month. We usually make our soft tacos as healthy as possible. Typical for us they include chicken with lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole and a very small amount of cheese. When we’re really hungry we add rice and beans for a complete meal.

Today, tacos are enjoyed all over the world. Traditionally tacos are made with chicken, beef, vegetables, or seafood. The filling is folded inside a soft or hard tortilla and garnished with toppings such as cheese, salsa, or guacamole.

Celebrate National Taco Day by hosting a make-your-own taco party. Invite your friends and neighbors over in honor of National Taco Day and eat tacos till your heart’s content.
