October 14 – National Dessert Day

Today is National Dessert Day.

Today is a day to forget your diet, forget about your calorie intake and just enjoy dessert(s) for the day.

National Dessert Day is probably a perfect time to make your favorite dessert(s) rather than having put on your sweats, put on shoes, and head to the best dessert bakery, if you can even find a bakery anymore. There is nothing like homemade desserts.

If you want something a bit healthier, if you can call dessert “healthy.” Try a quick and easy banana pudding or some rich, moist mini carrot cakes, my favorite of all time.

By the way it’s also National Dessert Month. So, if you miss National Dessert Day, go ahead and splurge the rest of the month. So there’s plenty of time to try out some classic recipes and still sneak in a few of your favorites!

  1. I love these cute individual desserts. I just bought a cookbook to start making some. They remind me of the desserts we had on our cruise this past summer which were really good. I love posting about desserts. They usually get the most hits. Blessings, Diane http://www.recipesforourdailybread.com
