Classic Pecan Sandy Cookies
2 c of sifted flour
1/2 c sugar
1 c softened butter
2 tsp real vanilla extract
2 tsp water
1 c roughly chopped pecans
Cream butter and sugar together and add the water and vanilla. When thoroughly combined, add the flour and pecans and mix until all the ingredients are incorporated. Chill thoroughly, at least four hours.
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. With your hands, roll the dough into golf ball sized balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for approximately twenty minutes or until lightly brown. Cool on a rack and enjoy.
