Congratulations you’re having a baby. What an exciting time for you and your family. Preparing for your new arrival can be overwhelming, especially if this is your first child. The needs of a newborn are ever-changing.
I am one that tends to do things early. Some soon to be mothers wait until 3 months before their delivery to register and others register as soon as they find out the sex of the baby, which is what I would do. It’s always best to start early in case something unexpected happens like pre-mature labor or you’re put on bed rest. Take it nice and easy though, don’t tire yourself out.
Typically a baby shower is given for your first child only so a baby shower can, for most new parents, be a Godsend. To help family and friends know your baby gear preferences a baby registry is essential. I would suggest registering at two stores, one store baby specific and the other store a big box store. As soon as you find out you’re pregnant my suggestion would be to start a checklist of items you’ll need for your new bundle of joy.
