The New Year is another chance to start fresh, make resolutions and try new things. Our hopes are high and our intentions good.
Our resolutions should be reasonable, in the short term and obtainable but require some effort. Once you have reached your initial short term goal, set another.
Now is the time to make the commitment. Resolutions serve as excellent tools to keep you focused, organized and motivated.
Create a plan of action to achieve your goal(s). Putting it to pen and paper is very beneficial.
If you find yourself straying or have already strayed, don’t give up! Accept it and move on. We all stumble.
Be patient! It takes hard work and dedication, no matter what the goal is.
Good luck and let me know how you’re doing.
Happy New Year Everyone!!

Thanksgiving Every Day
The table is brimming with good things to eat;
We’re surrounded by family and friends; what a treat.
The feelings that fill us today can’t be beat;
It’s Thanksgiving Day, and it all feels complete.
But other days, sometimes, things don’t seem so fine;
Those days are not polished and don’t seem to shine.
It’s then in our minds, we forget all the good,
And think of the things we would get, if we could.
On days when our thinking causes us dread,
If we could remember, it’s all in our head,
And not let our minds take our gratitude away,
Then we’d make every day like Thanksgiving Day.

We all tell ourselves “I’m starting Christmas shopping early this year”. I do it too, but I never start as early as I’d like and inevitably I’m running around a few days before Christmas. This year I hope to take advantage of Cyber Monday deals, I’m not one to deal with the crowds on Black Friday.
So first on my list are holiday cards. Found this and thought I’d share.

Nothing but DIY…
Every year I tell myself I’m going to start Christmas shopping early.
This year will be difficult, even more than last year. Money is tighter than last year and I’m racking my brain trying to figure out how to cost effectively do holiday shopping this year.
So, I’m on a mission to find the best and most cost efficient ways to decorate, buy food and get gifts.
As my search progresses I will share my findings with you all.
Sharing is good so if you have any ideas that can help please feel free to share.
The hunt is on…….Happy Holidays everyone. Be safe.
So, to start off here is a link to some DIY costumes for the kiddos. The ideas came from the parenting.com website. Some are cost effective and some are not. Some of the DIY costumes are really cute and inventive.
